The Hytrel HY55 Backup Ring is a symmetrical backup ring that is specifically designed to improve the overall life of the static O-ring against high-pressure extrusion. The HY55 Backup Ring has been engineered to fit snugly into standard industrial static O-ring head glands.
Unlike conventional rubber Parbak Rings, the HY55 Backup Ring will not pinch, shear, or twist during assembly. The HY55 Backup Ring is available for standard AS568 O-ring Dash sizes for single and dual backup gland designs.
